In August, 2008, I went to Santa Barbara, CA for a family reunion. After the reunion, I met up with my friend Rich for a proper tour of Santa Barbara. We stayed in the luxurious State Street Hotel. (If you stay, ask for a room with a toilet.) The State Street Hotel is on State St, near the train station and very near to the ocean. It was occupied by many tourists traveling abroad and appeared to function like a youth hostel. The prices were great. If you don't require pampering, I highly recommend the place. The hotel is clean and the staff is super. The environment is relaxed. During the day, it is common to see guests napping in their room with the windows and doors open. Here is the floor plan to the hotel: We ended up walking State St and seeing all of the sites. Below is a link to some of the photos taken after the family reunion: We also stopped my Marcel Hemp to update our hemp clothing collections.
