Here are a few scenic shots from the annual Fuess family Bass Lake adventure. Bass Lake is a man made reservoir southwest of Yosemite.

Nevada City, CA & Grass Valley, CA (August, 2003)

Rich and I drove to Nevada City for the weekend to goof off and see the sites. Nevada City is a small, funky old town. We stayed at the National Hotel. (Old hotel with bathrooms and shower down the hall and no TV.) The National Hotel is the first old white building on the left in the photo below. The monument was in front of my parking space at the National Hotel. We took the long way home and ended up driving through Grass Valley, another funky old town.
